Dr. Lisa Semmler is a transpersonal psychotherapist, hypnotherapist spiritual counselor, end-of-life doula., and Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator. In all of these roles she views herself as a midwife to others in their journey toward wholeness. By her helping to create sanctuary and providing emotional support, others are able to experience and claim the power of their own inner healer who brings forth transformation and growth.
Lisa's interest in Holotropic Breathwork began in 1995 in response to a spiritual emergency that introduced her to the work of Dr. Stan Grof and his late-wife Christina. Her doctoral research project on the study of Spiritual Crisis and Transformation provided a theoretical understanding for her personal experience and has grounded both her personal growth and her work with clients for over 25 years. She was certified as a Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator in 2019.
Lisa has a doctorate in Psychotherapy and Pastoral Counseling through GTS/Northwestern University and a Heart Centered Hypnotherapist through the Wellness Institute in Seattle, Washington.
