Tami Denice Cartwright www.tamidenice.com
A life altering event triggered in the Grand Canyon nearly a decade ago led me down a path to discover the unconscious psyche is a powerful source of wisdom. In the years that followed, I have balanced a demanding corporate job with a growing interest in a myriad of depth psychology related practices. I love to hike, read, learn, be in nature, connect with people, and dive into the depths of my psyche!

It's my belief that humanity is increasingly in need of a course correction and the gateway is through the unconscious, so I have fully shifted gears to help serve this need. I am a certified Soul Centered & Depth Psychology coach (IACTM accredited), Holotropic Breathwork® facilitator, and am pursuing a MSc research degree in Transpersonal Psychology. I offer services that help you to access your wisdom working directly with the unconscious psyche.

With deep gratitude, the teachers that have influenced me most are Dr. Bonnie Bright, Tav Sparks, Metis elder John Wisdomkeeper, and Gila Golub. In addition, I feel deeply called to work of Carl Jung, Stanislav Grof, and Joseph Campbell. Their collective wisdom informs my practice.

    Geoff Fitzpatrick
Geoff Fitzpatrick B.A. is a certified Holotropic Breathwork practitioner, who has studied psychology in Trinity College Dublin, and is a Graduate of the Milltown Institute of Theology where he studied spiritual enrichment. He has an active interest in modern consciousness research. He has been constructing mandalas for 10 years and is driven to promote the transformative potential of these sacred circles.

“I have two great passions, one is the exploration of consciousness the other is the construction of mandalas. In effect these are two sides of the same coin. The first time I saw a mandala was about 25 years ago. A group of Tibetan Monks came to Trinity College Dublin. They spent a week creating a magnificent Kalachakra sand mandala. I was mesmerised by the experience, the colours, the shapes and the sound of the chak purs are as vivid in my memory today as they were all that time ago. It was eight years later in that very same university whilst studying psychology I came across mandalas for a second time. I studied the work of Carl Jung and Stanislav Grof both of whom saw the mandala as a powerful psychotherapeutic tool. The depths of the psyche that I touch when constructing mandalas are similar in tonality to those from breathwork. I have borrowed heavily from the map of consciousness drafted by Stan Grof to navigate my way through the experiences activated whilst constructing mandalas.

But the greatest teachers for me have been the shapes themselves – The geometric symbols that date back into our prehistory and their origins dwell in the very fabric of what creates the universe itself. Nothing has exposed me to more mystery or opened me to greater depths of inner experience than working with these symbols. The sum total of my seeking, the knowledge gleaned from the courses, workshops of all kinds, powerful peak experiences and exposure to enlightened teachers can be distilled down to one very simple thing…….I believe there is a greater wisdom available to us at all times. The thing is, this higher wisdom is easier to experience than it is to explain.”

    Kerry Marumoto
Kerry Marumoto (module facilitator) spent his career as a senior marketing executive in the ski, outdoor and action sports industries. Shortly after leaving his career, he experienced a series of spontaneous and profound spiritual openings while attending a weeklong retreat in the mountains of New Mexico. Several years later, in the depth of his own Spiritual Emergency, he remembered this previous experience and sought out breathwork as a lifeline and found profound resolution, eventually entering into a 2-year apprenticeship training.

In his passionate search for understanding the root nature of the transformational effects of breathwork, he discovered Stan Grof’s work and attended his first GTT modules in 2013. Feeling compelled to continue pursuing his own spiritual exploration, he completed the training and certified in 2015. Intrigued and ever curious about the nuance of the work, he continued apprenticing at the GTT modules and began facilitating on staff in 2018.

He lives in the ski resort of Sun Valley, ID and loves spending time in the natural world, kayaking wild rivers, exploring remote mountain peaks and backcountry skiing.

    Dory Perry
Dory Perry (teacher, module facilitator) began her journey with Holotropic Breathwork® in 2001, after attending a weekend workshop, led by Stan Grof and Tav Sparks. On the heels of a cancer diagnosis and driven by the need for meaning and a more expansive perspective, her experience was profound and life affirming/altering. She began attending weeklong Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) modules, integrating the work into her life as an ongoing spiritual practice and developing a deep trust in the work and in the inner, ancient wisdom within each of us. In 2005, she was certified as a Holotropic Breathwork® facilitator. Peg Pipchick
Peg’s first experienced Holotropic Breathwork 20 years ago, and became aware of her “Inner Healer.“ She learned that if she could get out of the way her inner healer would do her work healing past traumas as well as everyday trauma. As a result she has continued to participate in HBW sessions several times a year which led her to a deep curiosity about HBW. She attended modules initially just to understand more about Breathwork. However she became more alive in the process and continued onto certification as a HBW facilitator in 2019. Trying to live with the awareness of non-ordinary states
of consciousness has carried over into her psychotherapy practice as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse. Developing an awareness of breathing, meditation and personal transformation along with a growth in her emotional, somatic and spiritual self has been an ongoing process personally. It has influenced her psychotherapy work with patients as a well as her work as a facilitator.

Peg facilitates groups in New Jersey about four times a year with Tim O’Connell.

Following her inner Daimon, Peg’s various educational and experiential opportunities have prepared Peg for the Holotropic Breathwork experience :
1) While working for her graduate degree she studied the Science of Unitary Human Beings - human beings and environment are one and focused as well on Therapeutic Touch and Transpersonal Healing. This deepened her interest in inner self discovery in the Transpersonal realm.
2) A three year intensive psychotherapy program, through personal therapy along with faculty and peer supervision, focused on deepening her knowledge of the theory and practice of psychotherapy. In ongoing study groups Peg continues to explore childhood development and attachment theory while understanding the impact on the development of the psyche, later relationships and functioning. These experiences explored and deepened her awareness that fostering relational repair of trauma happens in the transformational space.
3) While working on her doctorate in psychology, through a self-directed course of study, her interest in Self Exploration was encouraged and supported. In that course of studies, she developed an increased awareness of evolving states of spiritual development through reading Ken Wilbur and became acquainted with Stan Grof’s work with non-ordinary states of consciousness as a way of healing and deep self-exploration for personal growth.

Peg has practiced yoga for over 20 years, meditated for most of her adult life, take long healing walks in nature, spends time with family and watches her youngest grandchildren ages 4 and 2 who bring love, innocence and joy that can only come through children of that age.

    Cary Sparks http://www.holotropic.com/
Cary Sparks is director of Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT), a role she shared with her husband, Tav Sparks, until his death in August, 2020. Beginning about two years before Tav passed and following his retirement, Cary and a circle of advisors have shepherded GTT and Holotropic Breathwork® forward. When Covid-19 put a temporary hold on in-person Holotropic Breathwork®, they created a program of “Virtual Modules” that offer the didactic, experiential and community components of in-person modules. They also invited the community to Movie Yoga® Salons and other free events online. Now that in-person modules are taking place again, the Virtual Module program will also continue.

Cary started administrating the GTT, the only facilitator training program in Holotropic Breathwork®, in 1990, working at that time with Stanislav and Christina Grof. In 1998, the Grofs sold the training organization to Tav and Cary. Cary organized multiple large workshops, trainings, and other events – led by Stanislav Grof, Christina Grof, Tav Sparks, and others – for over 30 years.

Cary began facilitating seekers on their inner journeys in 1986. She was certified in Holotropic Breathwork® in 1988, and has worked as a facilitator, workshop leader, and at training events. In 2019, Cary certified as facilitator of a SoulCollage®, a practice for accessing one’s intuition and creating a unique deck of cards with deep personal meaning. Both practices have in common a profound respect for the healing impulse and empowerment of the individual.

Cary’s book Incensed: The Novel, is a humorous take on the world of transformational workshops (not breathwork!). In addition to writing, her passions are equestrian sports, rock music, nature, her family and friends, and cats Layla and Echo.
