Laurane McGlynn

About

Dr. Laurane McGlynn (workshop leader) is a clinical psychologist who integrates mind/body medicine with holistic approaches to healing and transformation. She holds doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy and Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Child and Adolescent Therapy. In addition, she has advanced training and certifications in mindfulness-based stress reduction, somatic resourcing, Vipassana meditation, Family Systems Therapy, Past-Life Regression and Health Psychology. In 2021, she completed training in Mind/Body medicine from Harvard Medical School. In addition, she is currently enrolled in a Masters program in Integrative Medicine. Laurane has earned licensure as a psychologist in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. She is the Director of the Center for Counseling and Wellness - an integrative holistic healing center in PA. She was certified as a Holotropic Breathwork® facilitator in 2015. She currently offers weekend workshops and four-day double Holotropic breathwork sessions through Grof Transpersonal Training.

Laurane feels her experiences in the Grof Transpersonal Training program have been some of the most deeply healing and profound experiences of her life. She feels honored to have been trained by Stan Grof and Tav Sparks and is deeply committed to continuing their legacy through her teaching and workshops.

Qualifications

Laurane has been offering weekend and four day Holotropic Breathwork® workshops throughout the United States for the past six years and involved with GTT since 2009. Laurane is a musician, poet and author. She has published a book of poetry entitled “Opening Inward- A Collection of Poetry from the Inner World of Holotropic Breathwork” based on her healing, transformative and mystical experiences with Holotropic Breathwork®. Laurane has earned licensure as a psychologist in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. She currently works as a graduate professor of psychology; psychologist in a university counseling center; and Director of the Center for Counseling and Wellness–an integrative holistic healing center in PA. Her work is heart-centered, compassionate, intuitive and empowering.

Join us in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina for a weekend of Holotropic Breathwork and connection to nature. In this workshop, each person will experience two Holotropic Breathwork sessions (one as a breather/one as a sittter) along with nature-based activities and healthy locally sourced meals cooked by our private chef. Supporting the synthesis of mind and body after experiencing a non-ordinary state of consciousness. Opening the heart, strengthening the body, calming the mind and lifting the spirit. Soul Stories: A Holotropic Breathwork and Past Life Regression Workshop

In this double breathwork workshop, we create a safe and supportive setting, with highly trained and experienced Holotropic Breathwork and Grof Legacy Training certified facilitators. We begin with a talk on the theory and practice of Holotorpic Breathwork and connect as a community. Each person will experience four Holotropic Breathwork sessions (two as a breather/two as a sitter), one past life regression session, creating art altars in nature, sound healing session, integrative writing practice, group support and integration through sharing circles and our evening fire gathering; and expressive arts with mandala drawing.​ Cost includes 3 nights housing, 9 buffet- style meals and the workshop. This workshop is open to new breathers, experienced breathers, those in the GTT Holotropic facilitator training or those interested in experiencing Holotropic Breathwork. For those who are in a psychedelic-assisted therapy training program, Grof Legacy Training or MAPS traning, this workshop may fulfill your requirement for practical experience sitting for others in expanded states of consciousness. This workshop is approved by Grof Transpersonal Training to meet the requirements for an in person double breathwork session for completion of the virtual modules.
